Discovering Sicily Etna ❤️

I spent 10 days in Sicily. And it was the best vacation of my life. My starting point was in Syracusa, also I visited Noto, the heavenly beaches in a natural reserve. I visited Catania and the famous fish market also the town of Acireale. Of course, I was everywhere with my friend who is also the naturalist guide Giuseppe.

But the biggest and breathtaking experience was the hiking trip to Mount Etna, where I climbed with Giuseppe from 1000 m to 2670 m. Giuseppe is an amazing person, open minded, friendly, has infinite knowledge not only about Mount Etna, but also about fauna and flora, geology also historical knowledge of every place that I visited with him, knowledge that he willingly shares, you listen everything with bated breath. He answered my numerous questions very patiently and comprehensively.

He is also very caring, trips, sightseeing or climbing are tailored to the abilities of a given person. Of course, I intend to return to Sicily, I want to discovering her further, explore its secrets, enjoy the views, tastes, get to know the culture and amazing people of Sicily, who are very open, friendly, thanks to whom you feel part of this island.

Etna Is not only mountain to see, i had chance to seeing eruption, feeling power of nature. You just stopped and enjoyed it. Also hiking up to Etna you can choice interesting path by caves, carved by nature, , tunnels, corridors making by lava. You can also admire the flora and fauna that occurs only on the slopes of Mount Etna. How nature found a way to survive in these incredibly difficult conditions. Of course it’s possible to enjoying this trip , seeing Etna for everyone, doesn’t matter of age, condition, because there is also cable car, which you can go up to 2000m and enjoying increable views.

Syracusa- my base.

Visiting this very popular town definitely płace to visit is Archeological Park with the famous Dionizos Ear, being there you can feel it,this history. And it’s not possible to visit Syracuse without seeing Ortigia, oldest part of the town. Magical płace,with numerous small streets, great restaurants where you can taste the best Sycylian food, enjoying beautiful sunset.

I am crazy about ice cream and there I found the best.
